Maintaining my acne prone skin with La Roche-Posay & Notino.co.uk
It is no secret that I have suffered in the past with acne and my skin is very prone to breakouts, it can happen to us all at different stages in our lives and is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. I have previously discussed how I have found La Roche-Posay products to really help the quality of my skin and as a big makeup wearer I have found I can create a flawless finish, while the La Roche-Posay products help protect and prevent any future breakouts, now that is fabulous!
Recently I have added a new product to my skincare routine to help maintain an imperfection-free face, which is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO (+) correcting and renewing anti-relapse treatment cream. This cream not only helps keep spots and acne at bay, but it contains ingredients that help the unwanted marks that can be left from very bad or severe acne. I am very careful with the products that I use so I often look at the ingredients a product contains before I even attempt to use it, and this cream has a few goodies that really can help your skin. The first ingredient that I noted in this product that has great benefits to the skin is Niacinamide, if you are a skincare junkie then this is an ingredient you will already be aware of. Niacinamide is great for pores and the texture of your skin, it is used for renewing and soothing and is known to help shrink your pore size which is great, not only does it unclogs pores it regulates the production of sebum so bye bye oily faces! The La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo also contains LHA and Salicylic acid which are the active ingredients that help fight the bacteria that causes acne and spots, helping reduce the occurrence of pimples and keeps skin clear. It sounds scary using an acid but they are perfectly formulated for the face and your skin so they are absolutely safe to use with great results too!
The cream itself is lightweight and a pleasure to apply to the skin, it sinks in beautifully and does not leave any residue or greasiness, which for problematic skin is a must. You simply use on a thoroughly cleansed skin after applying your toners or serums, every morning and/or night. As I have used this myself I have found that you do not need to use a huge amount to hydrate the skin which means the tube does last a good amount of time, great for us that like to make sure our products are cost effective, what more could you want or need from a product? It works, is a pleasure to use and reasonably priced, amazing!
The product itself is a pleasure to use and very effective, but this is due to the La Roche-Posay brand itself. I have used many of their products, all of which have been results led and easy to add into my skincare regime. La Roche-Posay is famed for its intense collaboration with dermatologists and its commitment to helping improve the lives of people with sensitive and problematic skin (like me!). The brand's ethics mean each product it creates is designed to target your skin concerns with active ingredients that do really make a difference thanks to the dermatologists they collaborate with. They are a scientific brand you can trust, and in my experience, they create products that really do make a difference that are a joy to use.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) correcting and renewing anti-relapse treatment acts against imperfections and helps prevent unwanted marks left by acne, it is definitely a product I will keep buying to use, is it something you would try?
