August Beauty Haul featuring

I've been a little naughty this month, with London Fashion Week quickly approaching I decided to do a little Notino shop to stock up on new season make-up, fragrance and skincare. However I am going to admit straight away, that I only went on the website for one thing and I quickly started adding things to my basket, but who can blame me when the deals are so good right?!

For those of you that don’t know, Notino are an online beauty store that stock amazing luxury brands, as well as industry and high-street favourites. They have a huge range of products from budget to exclusive items, so they literally have something for everyone, perfect for stocking up on daily necessities or treating yourself to a luxurious lippy.

I ended up spending hours looking online at the huge array or products, from Chanel cosmetics to high-street favourite Make-up Revolution. I had lots of fun scouting bargains to add to my basket as a pre-fashion week treat to myself. I love Notino for its range of products and ease of use, and as I checked out my online basket I noticed they did gift wrap. I’m a sucker for a beautifully wrapped present, and as this was a present to myself, I thought I would select the gift wrap in the black option. Unlike most sites they had sooo many different colour choices to select, but I thought I would go classic with black.

When the parcel arrived, as always, I unwrapped it as quickly as I could! I’m like a child at Christmas, ripping the box open to unveil what is on the inside. The gift box that my new make-up items arrived in was beautiful, and felt uber-stylish and very luxurious. It was black, with a mixture of understated matte and patent stars all tied with a satin bow. When I undid the stylish bow I was met with my products, perfectly packed as if it were the most exclusive gift in the world. I’m certainly going to order the gift wrap again, for myself and for gifts for family and friends as we head into the festive season. It could mean that you have a present purchased all wrapped up ready, shipped to your door for Christmas or Birthdays with only a few clicks on the web.

Soph x Make-up Revolution Palette

Makeup Revolution Soph X

As soon as I’d unpacked everything and hidden the gift wrap to reuse near Christmas I decided to have a play and think about make-up trends. One of my new items I picked from Notino was the Soph x Make-up Revolution palette which has many stunning shades which are all perfect for this time of year. It has a white & black, with oranges, greens and browns so a huge selection in just one palette. My favourite looks created from this palette are by using the shades ’Danger’ ‘Pumpkin’ and “Pine tree”. I can create an amazing statement smoky eye with ‘Danger’ and every time I flutter my eye you can catch a killer pop of copper. I also have used the deep green shade called ‘Pine Tree’ that has a glitter running though the powder, this is deep colour and you can create a sultry smoky eye look which I think is fabulous. Also look out for the ‘Mixed Berry’ shade, it’s a stunning purple and if you have blue eyes it would look KILLER!

Rouge G de Guerlain

I also picked up the most amazing lipstick by Guerlain. As soon as I saw this product at I knew I had to have it, and it’s something I haven’t seen stocked in many other places (which is something Notino is great at, giving you hard to source items!). Rouge G de Guerlain is a lipstick that comes in two parts, the lipstick bullet and the casing, and what is so great about it is that they are both completely customisable! You get to totally customise the lipstick to your style, choosing from a wide range of lipstick shades, from the most nude to the most extravagant, they have a shade to meet your every wish. Then once you have your lipstick picked you can complete with the case of your choice to create your complete lipstick just how you like it. Notino had done all the hard work for me as they had teamed my favourite silver case with a red lipstick, so luckily I didn’t have to choose both. When I first opened the box it was love at first sight, as you pull the lipstick out of the bullet the special case pops open with a mirror, ready for you to apply. It’s not only a fabulous piece to have that is convenient but its uber-stylish and certainly a conversation starter, it will make many beauty fan friends jealous!

Chanel Pressed Powder

The Chanel pressed powder compact is a classic, with its chic black lacquered case and white interlocking CC logo and a powder that I use daily to top-up my make-up. This is the compact that comes with me everywhere as its small enough to fit in clutch bags and the powder is perfect for blotting excess oil and stopping that dreaded shine. I find that the powder doesn't cake if you lightly dust it over your skin and it doesn't alter any other make-up on your face or oxidise, which unfortunately some powders can. The quality is great, and if you are using this for touch-ups only, then it will last you a very long time indeed. Personally? this is my favourite! As we have had very warm spells this summer I was running out despite ordering one recently, so I popped another in my basket ready for London Fashion Week.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define

The Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define concealer masks all blemishes and gives your skin a flawless appearance. I tried this due to the hype on social media a few months ago, with so many people raving how good it was. I wasn't expecting much, like most social media hype, I'm usually left disappointed, but not in this instance! I was blown away with how light the coverage felt on my skin, yet how hard working it was. It didn't feel as heavy duty as some products yet magically made imperfections disappear and it felt so fresh and light through the day with a flawless "barely there" look. A new product to me, and now it's a new favourite, therefore this made it way into my Notino haul!

The concealer is highly pigmented, extremely light, long-lasting as it evens skin tone with a flawless finish, is totally easy to apply with the built in wand and has a nice creamy texture. So ultimately is close to perfect? It is in my eyes.

Paris Hilton Rose Rush

Rose Rush is one of Paris Hiltons newly released perfumes, and it’s impossible to find in UK stores. I have spent so long lusting over the fragrance and beautiful bottle after seeing lots of photos online, posted by people in other countries that were able to buy the perfume. The bottle is stunning, in a rose gold pink colour, in the shape of a gown with pink glitter adorning the bottle. The fragrance itself is just as good, a lovely warm but fresh, fruity floral, with hints of rose on the top notes. This was a case of, I saw it, I wanted it, I got! Another case of Notino stocking hard to find pieces that we all love! The fragrance contains white musk, may rose, Amber and cedar and is perfect for everyday wear, certainly a show stopper to have on your dressing table also. A new firm favourite that will be coming with me to London Fashion Week.

So that was another successful shopping experience with, though I may have spent a little more than I wanted, and now I am all set up for London Fashion Week. Not only do I have the perfect eye palette to get me through every event you can image during the festive season ahead, but I have the most amazing classic lipstick to look elegant and glamorous with at any party for on the go touch ups. As for the fragrance I purchased, that will be my signature scent for the next few months ahead. Notino stock a huge array of products from home fragrance, to perfumes, make-up and skincare. So no matter what you need, they are totally worth a little look, just remember to treat yourself at the checkout and add that killer gift-wrap, so that every parcel can be a heavenly gift to yourself…
