Kiss Lashes & Impress Manicure Event with Pixie Lott...

19-May-2018

I do not need to tell you that I usually only wear one brand of lashes, and they’re the Kiss lashes, usually from the Faux Mink, Lash couture range in either Midnight, Little Black Dress or the Gaia style. I’ve been a huge fan of Kiss and their products for a while now, so when I got the invite to attend the Kiss Lashes & Impress Manicure Event with the beautiful Pixie Lott, I screamed yes with no hesitations.

It was late last year that the event took place at The Cuckoo Club in Mayfair. I sashayed my way into the bar wearing a beautifully beaded jacket by A Star is Born, which I had draped over one shoulder and fixed in place with a safety pin. I teamed this with a simple clutch from New Look in matching tones, black skinny jeans from Topman, a simple black shirt from New Look and a grey polo-neck jumper, which was worn under the black shirt which was from Topman. My jewellery was all silver and from different places on the highstreet (I actually have no idea where, but they were highstreet!) and on my feet? Manolo Blahnik of course, black satin Hangisi flats.

The room was a hub of activity as guests mingled with free drinks from the bar, having Impress manicures, their Kiss Lashes done and henna tattooing at stations around the room. As I have personally used the Kiss Lashes and arrived to the event wearing my favourite pair (Mink Couture in Midnight!) I didn’t have my lashes done, but I did take the opportunity of having my nails done using the Impress stick on nails. They had an abundance of fabulous colours, glitters and styles to choose from but I settled with a beautiful nude shade and glitter combination to match my outfit that day and for other events I had that week. After sitting down with my manicurist at the tightly packed tables I soon realised how quick and easy the Impress nails were to apply, with a quick wipe and buff off my nail, a super speedy size match and then peeling of the backing, my manicure was complete!

I kept my manicure on after the event for as long as they’d last, and the cuties lasted a full week before one of them popped off! I was super impressed that they lasted just as long as glued nails but without the trauma of using glue on your nails, making these perfect for a holiday, an event, or for someone who just doesn’t fancy having their nails professionally done. You can get professional results at home, which is totally what the whole brand is about!

My next visit as I mingled around the room was to the lash table to have a look at all the different style of lashes that Kiss make. I’ve used the Faux Mink lashes from the Lash Couture range for over a year now, but I spotted some other beauties in the True Volume, Looks so Natural and the Blooming Lash range. Kiss really do have a style for everyone, with all out over the top glamour styles to subtle everyday lashes. I really loved the Spicy Lashes from the True Volume range and also the Lily from the Blooming Lash collection. Those are the styles which are next on my list to try out (I think my usual Faux Mink lashes have competition, they better watch it!)

As I sipped my drink and sashayed around the room to the next table I bumped into some of my beautiful blogger friends. The lovely @ThisGirlLikes2Shop had come all the way down from Scotland to this London event (that shows you how much we all love the Kiss & Impress products!) and it was soooo lovely to meet her. We’d become friends through Instagram and we’ve been friends and supported each other ever since through our love of beauty, make up and fashion.

Next stop? The henna tattoo stall by TropicalBird.co.uk (@TropicalBird). I requested “something small but cute here” pointing to my hand. As usual I’m not the easiest or clearest with my instructions, but I still got an absolutely stunning henna piece near my wrist, ever the professional Tropical Bird new exactly what to create with her careful hand and creative vision. The henna also lasted a long time as the dye stained my skin a beautiful golden brown shade.

Now as my henna dried and I sipped my cocktail, I fluttered around the room with my new blogger friends, smiling at the beautiful Alex Silver PR girls as I sashayed around them over to the star attraction, Pixie Lott. Pixie, who is a fantastic singer was at the event because she, as well as I, adore the quality and ease of Kiss Products and the Impress nails. I introduced myself and we instantly started gossiping and giggling. A few photos later and after a lot of gossip, my Blahniks and I walked away, as glam as could be with Kiss Lashes, Impress nails and new Henna design on my hand. The whole event was fabulous and I had the most amazing time learning about two of my favourite brands. In a world of fast fashion and consumerism many brands come and go, but sometimes you encounter those special ones, that you grew to love, and those stay with you forever...

I’d like to end with a special thank you to Kiss Product Lashes and Impress Nails for helping me kick-ass during countless seasons of London Fashion Week and helping me slay photo shoots & red carpets with your products that keep me looking glam and feeling fabulous.

Another thank you to Alex Silver PR for inviting me to the event and helping me fall in love with amazing products that are affordable. Sorry for such a huge delay in posting this article, a piece that I thought I’d never get to post due to having my phone stolen, and with it all my photos.

Also a thank you to Pixie Lott for being so kind, and all the other beautiful people I gossiped with that day, making new friends at events such as these is wonderful!
