June OOTD's...

2-Jul-2016

Gosh, another few months have passed and its already July. I would say ‘Wow, its already summer’ but we’ve hardly had much of summer yet and because of this I haven’t been able to pull out my new summer fashions.

In this post I am going to be showing you a few ‘Outfit of the day’ looks from last month. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram then you may have already seen some of these, and more. If you don’t, then go and follow me and my journal @HOWSTE.

This look I love, I really am a fan of all black chicness! Wearing a Celine tee over the top of a New Look black shirt, New Look black skinny jeans and Burton shoes. I have also styled this with my Apple watch and Primark clutch bag.

This next look is all about the bag. I bought a Vintage Dior bag from Designer Exchange, and used this for work one day. I just teamed it with a simple polo neck from H&M, black skinny jeans and a bargain basement jacket from Primark.

Ahhh the night I got beyond drunk… Eurovision! Now every year me and a few family members like to dress up and sit down to watch The Eurovision song contest. This year was no different, however I managed to polish of a few bottles of wine, some pizza and wake up the next morning with a hangover. For this ‘event’ I wore a cute salmon pink/orange jumper and white H&M trousers teamed with fabulous jewellery from QVCUK. My necklace, which contains Peridot, Cetrine, Garnet, Amethyst and Blue Topaz is approximately 36 carats and is one of my most prized items of jewellery. I teamed this with matching rings and a bracelet. I also used a Louis Vuitton white multicolour speedy 30 bag, yano, to carry the wine!

This next outfit is cute, I wore it to attend The Vintage Kilo Sale in Nottingham. I have styled up a dress from Primark to wear as a long jacket over an orange patterned shirt, and yes I am in my signature black skinny jeans! Fashion is genderless, do you agree?

My next outfit is a bit like the previous one. I have styled up a dress to wear as a long top, and have teamed this with a men’s long shirt from H&M and black skinny jeans and black velvet New Look clutch bag. Several years ago I probably wouldn’t have been able to get away with this, but as fashions have changed, men’s style has evolved and new proportions are now acceptable. Where tops and jumpers used to always be the standard length, it is now acceptable for men, gay or straight, to go to the extremes, whether that be wearing a super long, oversized dress as a top like me, or wearing something more cropped and shorter in proportion.
