We all know I'm a Carrie wannabe, my site smells of Carrie Bradshaw quotes and fashion blogger perfume so it will be no surprise in me telling you I've purchased another fabulous vintage Christian Dior piece from my favourite designer resale site, Covetique. I have mentioned Covetique and its success in other posts, however with regret I have some bad news to share. First though lets discuss Mrs Fabulosa... My new bag!
She's vintage (just) and is in great condition, she's pink, loud, and reminded me of the early Paris Hilton and Sex and the City years. Introducing, Mrs Dior, the pink monogram trotter messenger bag, and she's just fabulous.
She was first released when John Galliano was at the helm of Dior fabulousness, and since his departure and Raf Simons takeover the monogram madness days have since ceased. As she's a busy bag with monogram print in baby pink and white I would only style her with plain block colours, dark colours for when I want the bag to stand out and pop and summer whites for a relaxed but well put together look. The day after the new baby arrived I took her shopping, and realised she was so versatile. She's a cross body bag, but put the strap inside and she can totally be used as a clutch, multitasking and pretty? Perfect!
So that's my good news, onto the bad. Covetique has since had to close its doors releasing the statement below.
It's a sad thought that even with Covetiques success it had to close its doors. Especially with how great the service was, and the amazing items it gave you a chance to pick up again. It's a sad day for designer consignment in the UK. RIP!
