Ballin' at the ballet...

3-Nov-2014

Last night, my friend Jade and I went to see Swan Lake. As I was still feeling a little hungover from Halloween I left choosing my outfit for the night till the last minute, BIG mistake! I spent all of Sunday afternoon throwing clothes all over my room and trying on 90% of my wardrobe till I finally decided what I wanted to wear. I had the brain wave of wearing one of my favourite pieces of jewellery, and I planned my outfit around this. I have a beautiful 43.5 carat gemstone necklace which I bought myself as a treat. It is a stunning piece of jewellery and contains Amethyst, Citrine, Garnet, Peridot and Blue Topaz stones which all seem to glow in the light. I have a few matching pieces of jewellery all in sterling silver and I chose my outfit around these pieces.

Jade and I had a great time at the Ballet. We had wine and sweets and enjoyed the delights Swan Lake had to offer before finishing the night with dinner and gossip. To go with my jewellery I wore a H&M two-tone poloneck sweater in Burgundy and a dark bluey/grey and I teamed this with D&G dark skinny jeans and draped a H&M blazer over my shoulders. My bag was a tiny bluey/grey clutch which was a sale find I bought last year from Dorothy Perkins.

Overall it was a perfect 'Charlotte York' night at the theatre.
