Throwback Thursday - Anna Dello Russo at H&M...

The Alexander Wang X H&M collection launches in exactly one week and everyone is getting hyped! In honour of the H&M collaborations and to get you more excited for the Alexander Wang collab, I have revisited the Anna Dello Russo at H&M collection which launched October 4th 2012.

Anna Dello Russo is the fabulous editor-at-large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan and she is self-described as a "passionate fashionista" and "Guardian of fashion". Dello Russo has been described by Helmut Newton as a "fashion maniac" and because of her fabulous off-the-runway style, is often featured in popular street style blogs and magazines. Dello Russo was born in 1962 in Bari, a city in the south of Italy and has an M.A. degree in Italian Literature and Art History taken at the University of Bari. She also attended the Domus Academy in Mila. Anna dello Russo is now famous for never wearing an outfit more than once and wearing runway looks which usually were only shown hours before. The H&M collaboration with H&M was just like her style, it was fabulous, over the top, luxurious and full of ornate detailing. The highly anticipated collection contained mostly jewellery pieces with some luggage, sunglasses and even an ornate feather head piece. I shopped this collection over the phone as H&M's website is well known for crashing when these collaborations launch, and I was right too. I got through to a sales advisor at 9:04am, bearing in mind the collection launched at 9am, and already the luggage and head piece had already sold out! Apart from the luggage I managed to get everything else on my list, I just had to wait the agonising 5- 10 days delivery, like who takes that long to deliver these days?! When the collection came I remember being sooooooo excited, the pieces were amazing, they were cute, they were so me. Here are a few photos I took when they were delivered...

Beautiful right?! Two years have past now and I still love & treasure each piece.
