It was April when Alexander Wang for H&M became a thing. The announcement was made, rather out of the blue, via Wangs Instagram page and was followed by an announcement from the Swedish giant, H&M. H&M is well known for collaborating with designers, bringing limited edition high-end pieces at high street prices. They have worked with Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Lanvin, Marni, Versace, Roberto Cavalli and Masion Martin Margiela to name just a few.

Alexander Wang, whom was born December 26 1983, is an American fashion designer and currently the Creative Director of Balenciaga as well as manning his own lines,
Alexander Wang and T by Alexander Wang. He started his lines in 2007 after graduating from Parsons. Wang has a very urban edge to his style, usually using black within
his palette and producing lots of knitwear and sport luxe styles. His lines are now stocked globally in more than 700 stores including many luxury department outlets.
Wang was won several awards in his short but hugely successful career including the CFDA Fashion Fund Award, Swiss Textiles Award, CFDA/Swarovski Designer of the Year
Award for Accessory Design, GQ US Best Menswear Designer of the Year Award and the Fashion Group International’s Fashion Star Award.
This is the first time that an American designer teams up with H&M, and the Alexander Wang x H&M collection will feature clothing and accessories for both men and women. Exciting!
"I am honoured to be a part of H&M’s designer collaborations. The work with their team is an exciting, fun process. They are very open to push boundaries and to set a
platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle,” - Alexander Wang
